NASi FormiKlear
NASi FormiKlear, a 50% w/w potassium formate based solution, is an advanced, environmentally friendly de-icing product. Potassium formate 50% w/w has the lowest environmental impact among many de-icing products. Formates have been used in Europe for decades to reduce the environmental impact and loading on wastewater treatment facilities. NASi FormiKlear is more sustainable than using chlorides for roadways and parking lots.

NASi anti-icing/de-icing products are formulated with a proprietary corrosion inhibitor package to improve its compatibility with copper, brass, aluminum, aluminum alloys, zinc, and other metals and alloys. The corrosion inhibitors work by forming a protective barrier between the metal and the liquid runway de-icing products (LRD). All equipment surfaces that are frequently exposed to de-icing products should be routinely rinsed with warm water (especially before and after the winter season) to prevent the accumulation of residue, minimize staining, and maintain equipment integrity.
